Stained Glass

In this course you will learn how to cut glass into shapes, and will use various tools including a glass grinder. You will learn how to make items by the ‘Tiffany’ method (lampshades, lightcatchers, boxes etc.), and how to make traditional leaded panels, solder and finish items. You will be able to design or adapt patterns to your own requirements.

Painting on glass will also be covered.

No previous experience, knowledge, or qualifications are required.

You will learn through demonstrations, one to one instruction and practice of learnt skills.

You are not required to bring any items to class. Just don’t wear your best clothes and wear sensible shoes.

Training materials, tools and equipment required to undertake this course are provided, however there are costs for any glass that you may want to purchase – this depends on the projects you undertake. Please do not to buy items before the course starts.

Painting on Ceramics

Last term we had fun when we touched on "Patchwork": How to bring some smaller painted images together as Patchwork or just to enjoy patching shapes and colours to produce designs on useful items such as mugs, vases ,baguette trays etc. All work is kiln fired .
Classes restart this Thursday , April18th for a 10 week term. @ St Andrew's Church Hall , Marton 9.45 - 11.45am. Maltby Village Hall, 1 - 3pm. £70 for 10 weeks , or 2 payments of £35. There are two or three spaces left. Beginners are very welcome. Just pop along or contact us.
