Coloured Pencil Art

Aimed at all levels, from complete beginner to those with some art experience who just want to try a new medium.

The course will focus on how to use coloured pencils to create pet portraits. It will include a tutorial on how to draw a silver tabby cat, advice on materials including different papers and pencils, methods to accurately transfer your image and how to layer and blend coloured pencils to create your own pet portrait.

Paper will be supplied but you can also bring your own if you prefer.

No prevoius experience is required.

The course will include class demonstrations and one to one tuition.

Feel free to bring your own pencils, eraser, sharpener or any other items that you may want to use. I work from photos on my tablet so you may want to bring one if you like but photos will also be available to work from.

Please purchase and bring a 12 Tin of Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils.

John will share with you all of his knowledge to ensure that you walk away with confidence and new skills that you can use in your next portrait.
