Creative Quilting

This course covers all aspects of quilting, from Patchwork to Applique, by Hand and by Machine.

You will begin by learning the basic techniques which will allow you to expand your skills and creativity, resulting in you being able to produce Cushion Covers, Table Runners, Quilts, Wall and much more, using a variety of methods, from following written instructions and commercial patterns, to creating your own designs and patterns independently.

No previous experience is required, as this course is suitable for Beginners and the more Advanced sewer alike.

You will learn by demonstration of practical techniques and encouraged to work through your own practical projects at your own pace and with guidance.

Please bring along your sewing machine and a basic sewing kit of essentials (pins, scissors, tape measure etc), 2 Fat Quarters of Quilting Cotton Fabric measuring approx. 50 x 56cm/19 x 22″ and a notepad and pen.

Later, more sewing equipment may be needed although all basic equipment is available to borrow.

The only additional costs include the costs of fabrics, patterns, threads etc, to complete chosen projects.
