Flower Arranging

Learn how to make designs for your own home, gifts for friends and family and even church flowers.

A seasonal approach is followed -using garden foliage and supermarket flowers. Contemporary and modern styles are included. We look at what is new and also look back at favourite designs and themes.

You will find the classes friendly, relaxing and therapeutic. You certainly will develop a love of nature and what is around you. You will gain confidence and new friendships.

No previous experience, knowledge, or qualifications is needed. Classes are for mixed abilities – beginner, immediate or advanced.

You will learn using a practical hands-on approach. Weekly demonstrations are given and learners produce a similar design the following week.

Items to Bring or wear to class include:

  • Scissors
  • Table Covering
  • Flowers
  • Foliage
  • Containers
  • Floral mechanics such as floral foam

(The tutor will advise you on your first lesson).

Additional costs:
You can spend as little or as much as you want on the equipment required weekly. Some learners supplement fresh flowers/ foliage with silk . Costs can vary between £5 – £10 weekly.

Following this course you can progress to other Floristry courses and even start your own business. Learners can even simply just keep attending the course.
