Beginners Acoustic Guitar

In this course you will learn:

• How to use chords more effectively
• How to accompany songs/melodies
• Rhythm guitar method/bass runs
• Timing and tuning
• Accompany different styles of music and songs

Some basic knowledge of chords and how to strum would be useful if you wish to attend this session.

You will learn through practice and reflection and working with tutor and peers.

Items to bring to class include:

  • Guitar
  • Plectrums
  • File with A-Z index
  • Pencil
  • Notepad

Additional costs to learners:
Items of expenditure: Capo around £5
Electronic guitar tuner around £5 – £10 (Optional)
Copies of songs £1, Initial pack £10

You are advised to avoid significant expenditure on items before a course commences.

Advice on the purchase of a guitar can be given if required.

If you are unable to attend the course face to face there is an online link each lesson.
