From Thursday 5 November classes at A Class Community Learning will close for 4 weeks in line Government Guidance. Nearly all of our classes will now go online to enable us to continue, but unfortunately some will pause for 4 weeks and start back from the 2nd December 2020. Guitar for Beginners

In this course you will learn:

• How to use chords more effectively
• How to accompany songs/melodies
• Rhythm guitar method/bass runs
• Timing and tuning
• Accompany different styles of music and songs

No previous experience, knowledge, or qualifications is needed.

You will learn through practice and reflection and working with tutor and peers.

Items to bring or wear to class include:

  • Guitar
  • Plectrums
  • File with A-Z index
  • Pencil
  • Notepad

Additional costs to learners:
Items of expenditure: Capo around £5
Electronic guitar tuner around £5 – £10 (Optional)
Copies of songs £1, Initial pack £10

You are advised to avoid significant expenditure on items before a course commences.

Advice on the purchase of a guitar can be given if required.
