Beginner to Intermediate Pilates Class
Welcome to your new Pilates journey!
Whether you’re brand new to Pilates or returning to the mat with some experience, this class is designed with you in mind. Each session is adaptable, so you’ll feel comfortable if you’re just starting out—and still challenged if you’re looking to build on your current fitness level.
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a low-impact, full-body exercise method that focuses on core strength, flexibility, balance, posture, and mind-body awareness. It’s all about moving with control, precision, and intention. You’ll quickly discover how powerful your body can become when you build a strong foundation—especially through the core (your “powerhouse”)!
We’ll start by learning and refining the essential Pilates principles and foundational movements. From there, we’ll gradually build intensity as your strength and confidence grow. Expect a mixture of mat-based exercises that target every muscle group while improving coordination and body awareness.
What to Bring and Wear:
- Bring:
- A Pilates or yoga mat (mats are not supplied)
- A water bottle to stay hydrated
- Optional: Pilates blocks or mini ball, small cushion and small towel.
- Wear:
- Comfortable clothing such as leggings/joggers and a t-shirt
- Bare feet or gripper socks are recommended.
Come ready to move, stretch, and build strength in a supportive and friendly environment. Let’s build from the ground up and celebrate your progress every step of the way!
