Quilting for Beginners

Quilting For Beginners

A Beginners course learning how to make a Simple Applique Quilt – The Sweetheart Lap Quilt.  Suitable for beginners, with little to no knowledge of sewing, but also suitable for the hobbyist and more experienced stitcher too.  We will begin by learning a basic Applique Technique, which will then lead us in to piecing, followed by  Quilting by hand or machine and finally finishing with a simple Binding Method.

We will then explore our own creativity, designing with guidance an Applique Lap Quilt using templates and inspiration provided and develop the skills we have learned.

Each class would be 2 hours long and students will be provided with a list of fabrics and essential tools that they would need.

Starts Monday 25th September 2023.
