Stained Glass
In this course you will learn how to cut glass into shapes, and will use various tools including a glass grinder. You will learn how to make items by the ‘Tiffany’ method (lampshades, lightcatchers, boxes etc.), and how to make traditional leaded panels, solder and finish items. You will be able to design or adapt patterns to your own requirements. Painting on glass will also be covered.
No previous experience, knowledge, or qualifications are required.
You will learn through demonstrations, one to one instruction and practice of learnt skills.
You are not required to bring any items to class. Just don’t wear your best clothes and wear sensible shoes.
Training materials, tools and equipment required to undertake this course are provided, however there are costs for any glass that you may want to purchase – this depends on the projects you undertake. Please do not to buy items before the course starts.
